Half-Term Highlights at Esteem South Academy

This half term has been full of learning, achievement, and positive progress across the school. Students in KS3 and KS4 successfully completed their Entry Level exams, with BPT pupils due to sit theirs after half term. Wellbeing has been a major focus, with pupils engaging in activities designed to support both their mental and emotional health.

Our new behaviour reward scheme is already making a strong impact, with pupils enjoying a number of reward trips for meeting behaviour expectations. Attendance has also improved this half term—well done to all pupils and families for their efforts.

We were pleased to welcome Lee to the Primary team, and we wished a fond farewell to Caroline from Secondary. Our pupils also enjoyed exciting curriculum activities, including Valentine’s “love potion” science experiments and a special McDonald’s lunch treat for Primary.

We are also delighted that freshly prepared school meals for Secondary are now provided by Elmsleigh Nursery & Infant School, with Primary meals joining them after half term. A big thank you to Elmsleigh and DCC County Catering for supporting us with healthy, freshly cooked meals.
